Jimson is home. He made fun of my Dumbledore's Army pencil case and then did this to our living room:

BTW – Has everyone on my flist finished HP&DH? Does it mean that if I talk about the wedding of Dobby and Winky I won't get defriended? ANSWER ME OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE.
OH JASON.
I finished HPB last night. It's amazing the difference interest made. It was SO GOOD. Quite possibly my favourite book now, thought I've got a huge soft spot for GoF. I'm quite upset that everyone in the Wizarding World thinks Snape is evil. I realised I read the whole book with the assumption that Snape isn't evil, just because Dumbledore said so. Poor misunderstood little grumpy man ![]()
See you all on the other side, Potterheads
We will always have Hogwarts.

I HAVE A NEW PHONE. FUCKING FINALLY. My old phone only lasts 4 hours on its battery when I don't use it, no matter how I charge it. So it lasts about 2 hours when I use it. -.- Not to mention it is covered in cat bites and scratches. I think even a homeless person would thumb their nose at me if I tried to give it to them.
ANYWAY.
I need contact details of everyone to update my address book. Home phone, mobile, address, emails, whatever you're willing to give. All comments are screened! Thank you
I feel like putting this on public but am terrified of spoilerific assholes. D:
In other rather delightful news, yesterday someone at work asked if I'd be interested to get commissioned to bake things for their family violence group therapy. She said they use a butterfly theme quite often and asked if I'd be able to make anything butterfliry. I have a butterfly cookie cutter and I can make butterfly cupcakes. I need more ideas! Contribute if you can! ![]()
Hermione had darted ahead to fulfill her prefect's duty of shepherding the first years, but Ron remained with Harry.
“What really happened to your nose?” he asked, once they were at the very back of the throng pressing out of the Hall, and out of earshot of anyone else.
Harry told him.
It was a mark of the strength of their friendship that Ron did not laugh.

“/> I'm reading HBP finally and I am loving it! This is new and exciting! I still found the first few chapters really dull but it's all
now. Oh Ronald, ![]()

.

I dressed up as Umbridge for the movie. I felt like I needed to apologise to all the kids for my costume. I also half-expected to be stoned. My mother told Jimson about me dressing up for the movie and he's like, “I'M SO GLAD I DIDN'T GO WITH HER. STUPID SHREK EARS.” I grumbled for days when he refused to let me buy the Shrek ears to wear at the movie last month.
I don't see why he has the right to complain when he wears uber nerdy anime scarf like he looks completely normal. I'm expecting a call from him anytime soon asking me to explain the movie to him. He tends to read the books AFTER he's seen the movies so he does a lot of belated exclaiming.

The sad thing about the costume is that I looked like I was in my usual clothes. Just a lot neater. People kept talking to me on the streets. I don't understand why they assume I'm friendly just because I like pink. I'd like to see them chat up Umbridge. I couldn't get my hair to curl, which was upsetting. There's also the fact that I'm Chinese. My ethnicity, my curse. There were groups of people at the IMAX in costumes as well, so that was exciting. Mostly just in Hogwarts robes but there were 2 Qudditch wear too. When I went to the toilet, I bumped into a Gryffindor and she glared at me

There was a lady who was in line with us while we queued for the toilet. She was in Hogwarts robes and she commented on my 'interesting choice of costume'. She asked if we were going to any book launch party. Turned out she was in charge of the Borders at Chadstone and had forced all her 80 staff to be in costume at the book launch *_* It starts at 7am though
Life is hard is topsy turvy land. I'm still thinking about going though. It sounds fun
I've, once again, ordered too many versions of the book. I ended up with 6 copies of OoTP the last time. Good thing I REALLY loved the book.

Sam asked if I was wearing my blanket as my robes. Fitz said it was my bathrobe. I am so stereotyped. It's a long jacket I got from Camden Market in London. I always thought it looked wizardy lol I turned the sleeves inwards to make it a proper robe. It bellowed in the wind as I walked
It flew out dramatically behind me when I had to run to the toilet TWICE. The staff member said she didn't need to see my ticket cos she recognised 'all that pink'.

I made little broomsticks for the movie based on this recipe. Except I couldn't find pretzel sticks or bread sticks and was in the mood for gingerbread man. So I made the entire thing out of gingerbread dough. I fucked up the first batch by making them too thick and they became really fat in the oven. Like this. I was horrified. I brought them all to placement htdfygu Luckily I had enough leftover dough to make a second batch and they turned out pretty cute!

I put them all in a little ziplock bag to bring to the movie to give away to kids. However I bumped into my building manager and his family on my way out and they were going to the HP movie too! He has 2 little girls, both were wearing fairywings, and the littlest one had a fake scar on her forehead! The older one asked to see my broomsticks so I gave them the whole bag to share cos I was in such a good mood lol

I saved one for myself to eat on the bus this morning. I'm pleased with how twig-like the stick part looks. When I got to placement, everyone started asking me how the movie was. It was delightful. I had little cheerful conversations with earnest old ladies at work all day about the books. I think I'll make another batch of cauldron cakes next week to celebrate book 7. BOOK 7. SO SCARY. WHAT IF THE ENDING IS TRAUMATIC.
I was going to talk about the movie but I'm suddenly very sleepy so I shall do that later…
MY FLIST IS FILLED WITH HARRY POTTER POSTS AND I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW HAPPY THAT MAKES ME!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I NEVER WANT TO STOP FEELING LIKE THIS EVER AGAIN.
I pass by a church on my way home from placement and they've got this lighted sign thingy where they have different sayings every week. They are frequently hilarious. They made a joke about John Travolta last week which made me laugh all the way to my bus stop. Scientology jokes never get old. This is what the banner said this week:

3 more weeks till my current placement ends. It's all a bit bizarre. I've informed my clients and a few of them who are horrified by change were duly horrified. I've got about 3 weeks break before the end of my current placement and my second one so I think I'm going to sneak home to Singapore for a week to recharge. I'm extremely homesick. My parents will be here next Monday so that's preserving whatever is left of my sanity. I don't expect my friends to understand, but a little quiet support and less passive aggressive negativity should not be too much to ask.

I was suppose to go to the uni's clinic today for 2 client session but both of them cancelled so I get to stay home! I received a referral for a new client recently and it's a 6 year old boy with selective mutism! I was thrilled because I've always loved SM cases. It's basically an anxiety disorder where the child only speaks in certain settings and to certain people. Usually they only speak to their mother at home and no one/nowhere else. Obviously they can't cope or integrate at school without speaking so they end up getting referred to psychologists. *_* I'll have to remember not to look too excited when I see the family.

My cats have been very affectionate and snuggly lately because of the cold weather. I'm loving it and getting cramps from not moving when they are sleeping on me.
I went to a Naturopath for the first time last week and it was very exciting. It felt like magic with all the herbs and potions. The Naturopath, Josie (though in my head she is Trelawney), made cryptic humming sounds as she checked my nails and looked into my iris. Apparently I have very deep stress lines in my eyes, indicating that my body holds on to a lot of stress. She made this little vial of potion for me to drink daily. It is completely vile but not as gross as Western liquid medicine. I always expect a puff of smoke and some sparks to fly whenever I drink it. It may just be placebo but I'm actually finally getting better.

I think I'm going to bake broomsticks today for the movie tomorrow. I'm really excited. I've picked out what I'm going to wear as Umbridge but can't seem to curl my hair for the life of me. I've got very stubbornly straight hair so I think it is a lost cause. Extremely upsetting. I haven't retouched the red in my hair in ages just so it'd be brownish enough for Umbridge. lol. The roots are eating at my will to live. I brought molasses cake and Dorayaki cupcakes to placement yesterday and they went so quickly. The molasses cake was DISGUSTING. I think because I don't like molasses. I can't believe they ate it.

Jimson sent me that picture last week. He was doing his 2-week placement at SPCA in Singapore. It was his last day yesterday and he's upset and wants to volunteer there again in September when he's back in Singapore for semester break. My mother said he came home with dog poo all over him every day but seemed so happy about it.
It's my mother's birthday today. I wish I was there to celebrate with them.
Anyway.
